Tina and Amanda
Tina Louise (born Tina Louise) is a American author, singer and performer most famous for her role as Ginger Grant in Gilligan's Island. In the 1950s, she began her professional career as an actor on stage with Bettle Davis' show Two's Company. Following that, she performed on Broadway for a number of productions until 1957 in which Li'l abner was big in the National Theatre. In 1957, she released her debut music album entitled It's Time for Tina. Louise began her Hollywood career in the year 1958 when she played Griselda Walden in God's Small Acre, a drama film. It was a huge success and Louise was awarded the Golden Globe Award for the New Star of the Years category. While an undergraduate at Lee Strasberg, she attended the Actors Studio New York. In 1964, she signed with CBS as a character, Ginger Grant. Louise continued to juggle her career across Broadway as well as Hollywood acting in more realistic roles, as opposed to her perception of herself as a glamorous woman. Amanda Tapping..........................Amanda Tapping is best known for her acting roles as Samantha Carter in the series Stargate. The SG-1 series and Sanctuary but she also was an accomplished television director on numerous series, including Supernatural as well as The 100. She was birthed in Essex on the 28th of August, 1965. Her family later relocated to Toronto for her childhood. After being chosen in 1997 to play Samantha Carter she settled down in Vancouver and has been living there ever since.
